In 2007 the New Mexico Continuum Act, a bipartisan bill, was approved by the state legislature. This Act funds the local, county and city development of a continuum of services for prevention, diversion and intervention, to keep youth out of the juvenile justice system and to intervene when youth are in the juvenile justice system.
Today there are 21 Continuum Boards with over two hundred community leaders, representing 24 counties and cities. This website is used as a tool by these site coordinators and their board members in order to stay connected and engaged in the New Mexico Continuum Initiative.
